WiseTech says AI tools mean potential staff cuts as shares rally on possible redundancies


WiseTech Global executive chairman Richard White says artificial intelligence agents are cheaper and more proficient than many human tech workers, in a pitch to investors designed to show the ASX’s biggest tech stock is well positioned for growth in the AI era.

Speaking at the Macquarie Australia Conference in Sydney, White and chief executive Zubin Appoo said the logistics software giant’s operations were being transformed by AI, but did not comment on the progress of a large redundancy round.
