  2. Crazy enough, I gave away all of my scented candles years ago. Since the pandemic, my already super sensitive sinuses/allergies to perfumes has also ensured that candles are off my “can handle list.” Funny how now that I’m older, I just cannot tolerate scents- especially anything chemical but it does include quite a few “natural scents” but flowers I can handle without issues!!! Go figure!!

  3. Hi,I’m from Australia,I make my own kitchen cleaner,in a spray bottle with a bit over a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid, essential oils and topped with water,it really works and window cleaner, dish washing liquid, vinegar and topped up with water, believe me ,it works better than the commercial brands.

  4. So many ideas that as a 70 year old have always done after learning these from my mum with the exception of plastic which I am cutting out of my life as much as possible now but had been sucked in by the advantages & sales hype of the original Tupperware. As an Australian being aware of water restrictions due to droughts prn am aware of not wasting water but do have to wonder about using water that you’ve used to wash off pesticides etc & then putting on your garden (not relevant if they were organic of course).

  5. Also, blue light is part of the sun's spectrum but when fake and isolated to only blue light it's not healthy! It's very unnatural for there to be blue light in isolation!

  6. Please study more about incandescent light bulbs. Led blue light is not better! It may save you on energy bill but not your health. Incandescent light has all the spectrums of sunlight and has lot's of infrared light which is very healthy. Led is a type of blue light that is not natural and may also have flickering you can't see at times with led but your body knows it's an unnatural type of light. Incandescent light is like the sun with all the spectrums of light and the way we as humans are suppose to be exposed to light……..again incandescent light is heavy on the infrared so no worry about UV exposure. Infrared light is extremely healthy and safe…….very healing! I have been using incandescent light bulbs for years and it really does change the health of your home for the better. Energy efficiency or better health? No brainer!

  7. You are correct about limiting meat consumption. Your cholesterol could creep up if you don't exercise. As you get older, your digestive system changes. Beware the meat and get blood tested regularly to catch any problems sooner rather than later.

  8. Weevils: freeze flour, rice, pasta when you get home, then pot in pantry. Kills bugs and eggs

  9. What is your take on opening the windows and letting all the fall out from the chemtrails come into your home and make you sick? I’d really like you to do a video on the effects that chemtrails are having on the world.

  10. 99% of what you share is useful and an improvement for most households except LEDs. You should spend some time reading the scientific literature on opsins in the body and how they respond to light. Our biology is not supposed to be exposed to isolated blue light ALL DAY from lighting to screens. Our biology needs early morning red light to send the signal its morning for hormones to prepare melanin in our skin etc. Isolated blue light does not exist in nature ever its damaging and harmful. People are spending too much time indoors and their biology is missing all the light queues and signal from their native environment. They make it worse by wearing sunglasses which confuses the body…but yet while indoors under manmade artificial light on their screens they don't wear sunglasses very troubling.

Regarding lov/no voc paint it's actually been around for longer than most realize. It's what hospitals use and available at paint stores but it's not on the shelf.

  11. Thank u 4 mentioning water. I collect rain water 4 my plants. They are much healthier & i save water & money. Water is a worldwide issue. As a person of Native American heritage, I am saddened that many Navajo people & others still have no running water in this day & age. Others waste it & take it for granted while many still live without. This world is a mess. Thank u for being a voice of reason. Always enjoy your vids. Take care ✌🏽 ❤️

  12. Weavels – sometimes the things you buy don't have weavels you can see, but they have larvae, which will hatch in your pantry. Another way to help rid yourself if these bugs is to freeze the item for a few days. This will kill the larvae.
I do make sure all the pasta, flour, cornmeal and the like are in airtight containers as well.

  13. You can use residual heat effectively on an electric cooktop. It does not work as well on a gas or induction unit.

  14. Question about the bamboo "paper" towels. If you want your counter tops to be sanitary, you'll still have to use a fresh one each time you clean an area. So at the end of the day (or 2 or 3) aren't you going to have a large stack of those towels to launder, and where do you store all those cloths?
I go through a roll of paper towels every 10 -14 days.
We've been taught to not use sponges or dish cloths to clean counters.

  15. Thank you for the great tips, I love the take your own take out containers to the restaurants. I already use some of these ideas and can incorporate others in my life. I agree with all the air “fresheners,” I cannot believe the explosive use of these candles in the past several years. I love that you were the sixth grade advocate for animal safety to the adults in your life. I always cut those plastic things, those photos of the birds are heartbreaking. I was a person that went out and bought 1000 incandescent light bulbs when the switch over occurred, LED gives me migraines. I think the LEDs are improving, but I have to go with the old fashioned lightbulbs.

  16. Thank you for bringing up that it's a really great idea to cut all loops no matter what. (soda pop can holders, plastic rings, etc.) Like you, I've been doing this for decades too. And, ever since I heard that a mouse can fit through a hole as small as a pencil, I've been making sure that none of my trash or recyclables has anything, even a really small thing, that could trap any animal; I cut open every hole, loop, etc. before discarding.

I also wanted to thank you for bringing attention to eating healthier, and that it doesn't have to be all at once. (I baby-stepped my way to where I am now and it made it pretty easy.) I appreciate you mentioning reducing meat. Thank you!

  17. Would love to see something specific on fabrics! Natural fibers versus polyester/plastics how they both break down overtime, is there any studies on things like cotton, linen and bamboo over polyester/synthetic rayon/blended fabrics
