  1. Great stuff Angus.. I am trying to find – recreate an A pillar grab handle lower screw cover for my 80 series Landcruiser and to purchase a replacement they want $13.50+postage for just one cover (out of stock and has been for ages) .. where would I go to find a file that will help me recreate it so that I can print one myself on my Ender3v2.. I have just looked on all of these websites you just mentioned and nothing is to be found…

  2. Search isn’t my biggest issue. It’s a central library of prints I like/liked/want to look at later. Favorites or Collections, for example

  3. Since this video there have been noteable advancements in learning based representations for meshes and scenes. Meaning we now have text to 3D retrieval and also image to 3D etc.

GrabCAD has been very useful for me to put references into Fusion360 and then model parts on top of that. Instead of sitting there with calipers recreating my own models.

  4. When using google to search for free 3d files, I get almost all links that have a ton of advertisement, request personal information, some ask what is your commercial e-mail, are you buying or selling, create an account…etc..etc. Its just ridiculous trying to get free 3d files. almost impossible..I got 1 file and said the object was 30 x 130 mm. The final print was 3mm x 22mm…!!!! and I had to go thru many ads to get that file..
