In this video I answer the Facebook Ads question: Can you target Facebook lookalike audiences and custom audiences in one ad set?

Well of course you can. But it’s not something I would recommend.

Where possible it’s best to separate your Facebook targeting options. That way you can determine which delivers the best results.

You may find the retargeting website visitors is much more effective than advertising to lookalike audiences on Facebook.

If that’s the case you’ll want to pause the underperforming targeting option – in this case the Facebook lookalike audience.

And provided you have enough website traffic, continue advertising to your website custom audience.
